With any divorce it is of course highly preferable to avoid a situation where emotions, which are a natural consequence of the underlying break up situation, lead to areas of dispute between the couple which serve no benefit to them, potentially incur high levels of legal costs or which will impact on the emotional or other wellbeing of children. Consequently, we recommend a mediated approach wherever possible seeking to find solutions which, whilst not perhaps ideal, are the best and most sensible available.
